ERASMUS
Erasmus - LLP - Lifelong Learning Programme.
 

Erasmus Programme is community programme, which was actuated by European Union structures in order to increase quality and attractiveness of teaching within international exchange. Erasmus Programme comprise these categories of actions:

Student's exchange:
- Student's mobility for the part of studies (SM) - from 3 to 12 months during the same academic year;
- Student's mobility for internships in institutions and companies in European countries (Student Placements) - from 3 to 12 months during the same academic year.

Lecturer's exchange
Erasmus Programme offers students of University of Economics in Krakow possibility to study in chosen partner university. The list of partner universities comprise over 130 universities in European countries.

Countries which take part in Erasmus Programme:
- European Union countries,
- 3 countries of European Economic Area: Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway,
- Candidate country: Turkey

STUDENT'S MOBILITY RULES:

  • To study with Erasmus Programme You can go only once!
  • Erasmus mobility should not last less than 3 months and more than 12 months during one - the same academic year.Going for scholarship students are discharged from tuition and examination fee.
  • During studies in foreign university students carry out Individual Studies Programme, which is agreed with dean University of Economics. Studies Programme is inscribed in document: "Learning Agreement".During scholarship You cannot be on dean's leave.
  • If You are going to a country of less prevalent language, You can apply for participation in Erasmus Intensive Language Course organized in this country. For this course there are no fees charged. Disabled students can count on additional funding.
  • During studies abroad students can get grants from Erasmus Programme. However this grant is purposed for covering additional, not all costs of staying abroad! When deciding for scholarship student should be aware of increased costs of living and they should have some financial means assured for staying abroad.

VERY IMPORTANT

Being qualified for scholarship is not equivalent with getting the grant. Student can be granted on the base of points gained during admission. It is possible that not all students will get the grant. In that case they can still go on scholarship as Erasmus student without grant.

TO APPLY FOR ERASMUS SCHOLARSHIP YOU SHOULD:

  • be a student of University if Economics in Krakow,
  • have the first year of first-cycle studies completed

Before going for scholarship student should complete all formalities in dean's office, submit proper files in the International Office and sign the Erasmus agreement (look scholar's vade-mecum).
