Recruitment

Second stage of recruitment process has been opened.

International Porgrammes Office and International Relations Office are announcing recruitment for foreign exchange programmes in the academic year 2011/2012 for the following programmes:

  • Erasmus
  • Erasmus with option EMBS
  • Erasmus with option Double Diplom
  • Bilateral agreements
  • Direct Entry

Applicants eligible for enrollment:

  • All admitted students of CUE of all types and faculties of studies, who have at the moment of recruitment process the status of being a CUE student. Detailed requirements concerning degree and the year of studies are specified in particular exchange programmes offers.
  • CUE students which apply in their graduation year (bachelor level) can still be eligible for participation in the upcoming exchange programme, provided that they will hold the status of CUE students upon their departure (i.e., will be admitted for Master level studies at CUE). In such a case the exchange programme can take place during the spring semester of the first year. In case of a year-long programme, only on the second year.

IMPORTANT: If a student is paying for studies at CUE, he still needs to pay tuition during his/her exchange programme.

Recruitment stages

STAGE I - Registration and language qualification

Language qualification means to hand in a copy of relevant certificate and/or to take the relevant test organized by SJO.

Applicants that took the relevant test and passed it in the last academic year (2010/2011) do not have to retake it in upcoming language qualification. In this case applicants should point it out in the application form.

IMPORTANT! The following are not taken into consideration: foreign language courses, courses/classes under time-limited overseas programmes, regular foreign language classes at the university, classes conducted in foreign languages offered by primary, junior secondary and senior secondary schools.

Applications for Ukrainian language test should be emailed to lankoa@uek.krakow.pl .

IMPORTANT! Please pay attention to the requirements of the specific universities. Some of them require a language certificate (i.e. TOEFL, TELC, CAE, CPE). In this case applicants still have to take part in the language qualification at the CUE, but additionally have to submit copy of the certificate.

STAGE II - Online application and documents submission

Within the period of 1.02.2012 - 28.02.2012 an applicant should:

  • Fill out online application, available since 01.02.2012
  • Submit complete SET OF DOCUMENTS to IPO:
  1. Printed and signed online application
  2. CV written in a language which will be studied abroad
  3. Average grades obtained in hitherto period of studies (obtained from the Dean's Office)
  4. Transcript of records in English (and the supplement in English if the applicant graduated bachelor degree)
  5. 2 signed pictures
  6. Additional documents which certify: participation in courses taught in foreign language; international experience; additional activities.

IMPORTANT: Certificate for participation in Students' Research Organizations at CUE should be issued (ONLY!) to the Student Parliament. If such document is issued to IPO it will not be taken into consideration. Details can be found at: http://www.ps.uek.krakow.pl

Deciding about preferred universities:
An applicant can check up to 8 universities he/she prefers, and which are currently available for recruitment. An applicant should make a conscious, well thought-through, choice.

An applicant is suppose to learn on his/her own about:

  • Programmes offered at the relevant university
  • Course language offered at the relevant university
  • Accommodation and living expenses

An applicant should take into account the following:

  • Compatibility of his/her study programme with the potential exchange programme offered at a foreign institution
  • Course language
  • Academic calendar

IMPORTANT: Recruitment for Erasmus, EMBS, Double Diploma, Direct Entry and bilateral agreements is scheduled ONCE A YEAR for the whole following year. That means that both semesters, winter and summer, should be considered.


Approximate dates for the remaining programmes/universities:

  • STEP/Hiroshima University of Economics - October for summer semester, and February/March for winter semester
  • CEEPUS - April/May
