The Student Parliament is an organization which represents the interests of all the students of Cracow University of Economics in their relations with University authorities. Thanks to the fact that our representatives attend faculty council and senate meetings, the opinions of Parliament's representatives have an impact on all the events at the campus including the selection of the heads of Departments, scientific grants and budgetary decisions related to the most fundamental aspects of the University's functioning. Because the people involved in the Student Parliament's activities are members of the student community, they have sufficient knowledge of their fellow students' expectations with regard to educational standards, possible changes to campus life as well as any initiatives proposed by other students.

Parliament's additional objective is to organize various cultural events which are held at the University's campus as well as at Krakow's clubs, cinemas and theatres. The annual student holiday,  "Juvenalia" at CUE, very popular even with people indirectly related to our University, is a spectacular example of the student self-government's activities and its contribution to Krakow's student life. Also, every month the Student Parliament is engaged in organizing dancing events which take place in affiliated clubs, providing an opportunity for closer integration and entertainment.

The Student Parliament is also engaged in a number of projects of national significance, crossing the boundaries of the University's campus as well as the city of Krakow. Crowds of students from other regions visit Krakow to participate in "Juvenalia". Another interesting project, referred to as "The Economic Bridges", which involves several days' exchange programmes for different universities of economics,  facilitates integration of students representing different academic communities. The project may rely on the support of "twin" universities as well as the authorities of the cities visited by students. All students who come up with interesting ideas are most welcome and may rely on Parliament's support in implementing their projects.

Voluntary work offers opportunities to all students to participate in implementing Parliament's projects. All you have to do is visit our Parliament's office, express your willingness to cooperate and provide your email address - you will be put on the voluntary workers' list. Prior to the implementation of projects, meetings are arranged for all the interested parties, the project coordinator is appointed and the particular tasks are assigned. Participation in projects provides opportunities for meeting interesting people but, in the first place, it is a source of gaining practical knowledge and skills to be used in the future professional career.

All those interested in the self-government's activities are invited to visit our office on the second floor of the Eductaion and Sports Hall, room 226. Our office also offers accident insurance policies. Thanks to our cooperation with PZU (an insurance company), students may benefit from four different insurance policies in the coming academic year.

We encourage you to cooperate with us!
