How to become a student

Study courses in Polish

1. Study courses in Polish, in accordance with the principles applicable to Polish citizens, may be attended by:

  • foreigners who are entitled to reside in Poland;
  • holders of the valid Card of the Pole;
  • foreigners with a refugee status granted in the Republic of Poland;
  • foreigners enjoying temporary protection in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
  • migrating employees - the citizens of the EU, the Swiss Confederation and EFTA countries - the parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area, and their family members, if they reside in the territory of Poland.

2. Foreigners who are not specified under point 1, may attend university courses on the basis of the following:

  • international agreements, in accordance with their provisions;
  • agreements concluded with foreign entities, in accordance with their provisions;
  • decisions made by the minister of higher education;
  • decisions made by the University's chancellor.

3. The citizens of the EU, the Swiss Confederation and EFTA countries - the parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area, and their family members, and the holders of the valid Card of the Pole, having sufficient financial resources, may also attend university courses in the same manner which is applicable to Polish citizens.

The applicant for study courses in Polish at Cracow University of Economics should fill out a questionnaire and register his/her personal details. Prior to that, the candidate should make sure if the selected course  is scheduled to be conducted in a given academic year. Following the registration, a confirmation should be printed, and the form should be signed and delivered along with the other required documents to the Teaching Department (Main Building, rooms 107, 108).
